Report of the Excursion to Mahabaleshwar
The department of English organized a one day excursion to Mahabaleshwar. Mahabaleshwar is a renowned hill station of Maharashtra. It is 120 kilometers away from the college. The excursion was organized on Saturday 29th January, 2011 by the department of English. 45 students from the undergraduate and post graduate classes and four lecturers Ms. Shilpagauri Ganpule, Ms. Namrata Alhat, Prof. S.G. Sarode, Ms. Rupal Waghmare and Mr. Mahavir Kangale from the non-teaching staff participated in the excursion.
The students assembled in the college premises early in morning at 5.30 a.m. and reached back to college in the evening at 9.15p.m. The places visited include the old Mahabaleshwar temple, various points, market place, Venna lake, the garden at Venna lake, Mapro Garden etc. Snacks and supper were provided to the students.
The excursion was indeed a worthwhile experience for the students.
