The Department of
English of Prof. Ramkrishna More Arts, Commerce and Science College, Akurdi
organized a 10-day Soft Skills Development programme from 10th
August 2012 to 24thAugust 2012 in co-ordination with the University
of Pune.
On 10thAugust
the programme series was started with a session on “Positive Thinking “by Dr.
Arjun Jadhav and Prof. Ashutosh Thakare conducted a session on “Mock Interviews”.
Dr.Pradnya Kulkarni guided the students on “Time Management” on 11thAugust
2012 and Prof. Ashutosh Thakare conducted session II on “Mock Interviews”.
On 13th August
2012 Dr. Shilpagauri Ganpule addressed the students on “Creative Thinking”
Prof. Namrata Alhat conducted a session on “Group Discussions”. On 14thAugust
2012 a lecture on “Confidence Building” was conducted by Dr. Shubhangi Raykar
and Prof. Namrata Alhat conducted a session on “Group Discussions”. On 16th
August 2012 Dr.Muktaja Matkari spoke on “Problem Solving” and Dr.Sangita
Ghodake conducted a session on “Group Discussions”.
Dr. Vandana Pimple
directed the students on “Interview Techniques on 17thAugust 2012
and Prof. Rupal Waghmare conducted a session on “Effective CV writing”. On 21st
August 2012 lecture on “Developing the LEADER in you” was conducted by Mr.
Vijay Gadgil and Dr.Shilpagauri Ganpule conducted session II on ‘Creativity
Enhancement’. On 22nd August
2012. Dr. Sangita Ghodake guided the student on “Non Verbal communication” and
Prof. Rupal Waghmare conducted a session on ‘Voice Culture and Body Language’.
On 23rdAugust 2012 Dr. Shridhar Gokhale conducted the lecture on
“Strategies for Enhancing communicative competence and Dr.Shilpagauri Ganpule
conducted a session on “How to Develop the Soft-skills”. On 24th
August 2012 Dr.Sangita Ranade spoke on “Stress Management” followed by the
Valedictory function. Principal Dr.Nitin Ghorpade and the Vice Principal Prof.A.K.Patil
were present for the function.
